| Member Handmade in America |
| Work is progressing at the Handmade House at the Ramble in Asheville, NC. I will be making the dining room table, living room coffeee table and a bench for the sculpture garden at this designer showcase home. The house will be built to meet or exceed the Green Building Standards, have rainwater collection systems, and will feature indeginous plants and trees in the landscape design. This is a collaborative effort between Handmade in America, Biltmore Forest Developers, Ralph Samsel Architects, Susan Nilson ASID, and La Quatra Bonci Associates. More information is coming soon. |
| The June issue of American Style Magazine has a couple of articles on Asheville, NC. Asheville was named the #2 Top Art Destination in America, and in that article talks about the Handmade House at the Ramble, a project which I am very proud and excited to be working on. A seperate article called 'Renaissance City' gives a walking tour of downtown Asheville, and highlights Mountain Made at the Grove Arcade, one of my first and best galleries. My work is mentioned in this article. Thanks to Melinda Knies for believing in my work and helping so much along the way. It is a really great gallery featuring some very talented western North Carolina artists, and its profits go to help support Mountain Bizworks small business development services. |
